Our special liquid extract formulas are concentrated liquid herbal extracts made from organic, wild-crafted and chemical free herbs.  Each herb is prepared separately with the herb to menstrum (organic grain alcohol and pure water) ratio that ensures maximum extraction of the plants' constituents.  Our 4oz tinctures last four times as long as conventional health food store tinctures, at half the price.  They are easy to use, travel with and are safe, effective and gentle.

In addition to our complete line of formulated extracts, we also offer a special selection of therapeutic herbal bath salts and body scrubs.  Our products are made with great care using only the highest possible quality and potency of herbs, essential oils and salts.  Each product is hand crafted & infused with awareness of the cycles of nature.

Sahaj handcrafts digestive "churnas", or powdered herb blends, to enhance the digestive process for each dosha, and balancing churnas to enhance vitality to your entire well-being.  Our products are made with great care using only the highest quality organic herbs and are packaged in glass jars. Our herbal digestive churnas are made using organic herbs and spices appropriately chosen to balance and enhance each dosha's digestive process.  Our herbal balancing churnas are made using organic herbs and spices designed to balance the qualities of each dosha and enhance general well-being.

Herbal Ghees
Sahaj also offers a special selection of herbal ghees.  Our herbal ghees are made using "Ancient Organics" ghee, the most highly revered brand ghee available, and the highest quality organic herbs.  Choose from the rejuvenative Rasayana Ghee, the cleansing Triphala Ghee, the strongly purifying Tikta Ghee, the blood tonic Rakta Ghee and the awareness enhancing Brahmi Ghee.

Manufacturing and Quality Control
Sahaj operates out of a 1400 sq. ft. certified professional kitchen and manufacturing facility in San Francisco, CA - in addition to operating our store front herbal apothecary in Berkeley, CA. 

We are committed to providing the highest quality herbs and formulas available.  We source all of our herbs from the most respected and reputable companies and herb growers - using only organic, sustainably wildcrafted or guarenteed chemical free herbs.  The companies we source our dry herbs from ensure they undergo extensive laboratory quality control testing to guarantee absolute purity and ensure that they are the highest quality.  Our sources test for all microbiologicals, heavy metals and pesticides as well as guarantee correct identification of genus and species (organoleptic testing).  All testing is done in professional labs and conform to the tests indicated by the American Herbal Products Association. 

We take great care to ensure that our products are the highest quality and our practices our sustainable.  We us all glass bottles for our products, vegetable cellulose bags for bulk herbs (no plastic!) have a comprehensive recycling program, greatly minimize the use of non-sustainable shipping materials and contribute to local organizations and schools.   All operations at our facility are carefully documented and undergo constant quality control checks.  Our professional facility is compliant with current industry standards and we are continually updating and improving our procedures to guarantee absolute purity of our products.
